GeneCopoeia’s BlazeTaq™ Probe One-Step SARS-CoV-2 Detection Kit is a next-generation solution designed for highly sensitive and accurate detection of SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic. This RT-qPCR-based kit, which uses hydrolysis probe technology similar to TaqMan®, is newly designed from the ground up with primers that detect the S (Spike) and N (nucleocapsid) genes of multiple strains of SARS-CoV-2.
The BlazeTaq™ Probe One-Step SARS-CoV-2 Detection Kit is part of GeneCopoeia’s COVID-19 Coronavirus Research Tools product line.
Advantages
- High sensitivity. Can detect as few as 10 copies of the viral target sequences.
- Shorter reaction times. Uses GeneCopoeia’s BlazeTaq™ antibody-modified polymerase, which results in a faster hot start.

- Specificity. Inclusion of UDG and dUTP in the reaction reduces carryover contamination, resulting in fewer false positives.
