Validated All-in-One™ qPCR Primer for HAT1(NM_003642.4) Search again
By default, qPCR primer pairs are designed to measure the expression level of the splice variant (accession number) you selected for this gene WITHOUT consideration of other possible variants of this gene. If this gene has multiple variants, and you would like to measure the expression levels of one particular variant, multiple variants, or all variants, please contact us for a custom service project at inquiry@genecopoeia.com.
Summary
Histone acetylation, particularly of histone H4, plays an important role in replication-dependent chromatin assembly. This gene encodes a histone acetylase that contains A, B, and D motifs, present in many N-acetyltransferases, including those that acetylate substrates other than histones. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode different isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq].
Gene References into function
- the role of Hat1 in DNA damage repair is evolutionarily conserved, the ability of H3 acetylation to compensate for Hat1 deletion appears to be more variable
- HAT gene expression is required for cisplatin resistance and Clock and Tip60 regulate not only transcription, but also DNA repair, through periodic histone acetylation
