Validated All-in-One™ qPCR Primer for WNT11(NM_004626.2) Search again
By default, qPCR primer pairs are designed to measure the expression level of the splice variant (accession number) you selected for this gene WITHOUT consideration of other possible variants of this gene. If this gene has multiple variants, and you would like to measure the expression levels of one particular variant, multiple variants, or all variants, please contact us for a custom service project at inquiry@genecopoeia.com.

Summary
The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes which encode secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. This gene is a member of the WNT gene family. It encodes a protein which shows 97%, 85%, and 63% amino acid identity with mouse, chicken, and Xenopus Wnt11 protein, respectively. This gene may play roles in the development of skeleton, kidney and lung, and is considered to be a plausible candidate gene for High Bone Mass Syndrome. [provided by RefSeq].
Gene References into function
- WNT11 mRNA was up-regulated in four cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma, and a case of renal cell carcinoma. Up-regulation of WNT11 mRNA might play an important role in human carcinogenesis through activation of the WNT signaling pathway.
- Wnt11 stimulates proliferation, migration, cytoskeletal rearrangement, and contact-independent growth by a beta-catenin-independent mechanism
- Wnt11 promotes cardiac differentiation via the non-canonical PKC-dependent signaling pathway
- Wnt11 gene is expressed during early embryonic development and has a critical role in regulation of gastrulation movements.
- Wnt5a and Wnt11 expression in EPC cells was induced by coculture with rat neonatal cardiomyocyte and was blocked by gamma-secretase inhibition.
- Wnt-11 promotes cell viability and is involved in coordination of key signaling pathways.
