Select lentiviral particles for ORF/cDNA
Product ID:
Species:
Human
Symbol:
GPX1(click here to view gene annotation page)
Alias:
GPXD, GSHPX1
Accession:
ORF Length:
612 bp
Description:
Homo sapiens glutathione peroxidase 1 (GPX1), transcript variant 1, mRNA.
Important note:
The protein encoded by this gene is a selenoprotein, containing the rare amino acid selenocysteine (Sec) at its active site. Sec is encoded by the UGA codon, which normally signals translation termination. The 3' UTRs of selenoprotein mRNAs contain a conserved stem-loop structure, designated the Sec insertion sequence (SECIS) element, that is necessary for the recognition of UGA as a Sec codon, rather than as a stop signal.
The catalog lentiviral/AAV particles for this gene do not contain the SECIS element. If you require the lentiviral/AAV particles with SECIS, please email inquiry@genecopoeia.com.
Note: The guaranteed titer* is for insert genes not known to be toxic.
