Product Manager

As a Technical Product Manager, you will be assigned a high-profile product portfolio and several essential functions that include the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts in the development and implementation of product launch strategies and achieve revenue goals which you will help establish.
  • Participate in developing overall marketing strategies for the assigned products.
  • Compose technical and promotional documents.
  • Assist in the development of tactical plans to drive customer awareness, adoption and loyalty for the assigned products.
  • Participate in exhibitions and follow-up leads from exhibitions.
  • Meet with customers to provide technical support, consultation, and scientific presentations on company's new technologies and products.

Requirements:

  • A PhD or Masters degree in a life science field.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in the lab with up-to-date knowledge of the latest genomics and proteomics technologies, methodologies, and tools.
  • Familiarity with commonly used bioinformatic databases and tools.
  • A solid track record of accomplishments and attention to detail.
  • Sales experience desirable, but not essential.
  • Strong initiative and willingness to take ownership of a large product line in order to design and drive projects to completion.
  • Flexibility to respond to rapid changes in a fast-paced industry environment.


Senior Scientist/Manager, Bio-Assay Development

Highly motivated project leaders are sought to lead efforts in bio-assay development.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently conceive, plan and execute product development projects.
  • Have full scientific/technical responsibility for the achievement of broadly defined project goals.
  • Manage multiple projects, including development of large multiplex panels, customer contracts, and assay troubleshooting.
  • Work with marketing and sales team to develop marketing and sales strategies for product launch and sales.
  • Provide product technical documentation.
  • Serve as a technical services resource, and train other staff members and/or customers.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Biochemistry, Immunology, Cell Biology or related
  • 4+ years industry experience developing and optimizing immunoassays, cell based assays, or
  • Experience with production of commercial assays preferred, but not required
  • Experience with of cell signaling pathway based assays preferred
  • Individual must have good analytical and communication skills


Technical Support Specialist/Scientist

We are looking for a Technical Support Scientist who will be responsible for providing pre- and post-sales technical support of all GeneCopoeia's products to customers and field sales personnel, as well as relaying customer feedback to the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer technical inquiries via telephone, email or web chat.
  • Summarize trends and technology as technical tips, FAQ's and troubleshooting guides.
  • Accurately record pertinent information from customer contacts in Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Recommend changes to knowledge databases, website, and other company-managed databases of technical information.
  • Participate in frequent training on products and continuing education on new applications and technologies to remain at the cutting edge of scientific knowledge.
  • May present technical and product information at trade shows and in customer field visits.

Requirements:

  • A MS or PhD degree and minimum of 4 years laboratory experience in life sciences.
  • Experience in cloning, gene expression profiling (RNAi, real-time qPCR, arrays), cell biology, immunology, and/or protein biochemistry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, to customers and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new and complex technical information.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and good problem-solving ability.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency, including spreadsheet, word processing, Internet applications, bioinformatic databases and data analysis.
  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Occasional travels to trade shows and/or customer sites.
